5 ways we joined the 5am club and how to stop snoozing your alarm ⏰

Was one of your resolutions to wake up earlier this year?

You are so motivated the night before but when it comes to wake up time, all you seem to do is snooze the alarm?

Well, we’ve got you covered! 

We have been working on joining the 5am club for quite some time now and we think we have found the secret formula to waking up, so we wanted to give you some intel into it! 

So here are our top 5 tips when it comes to beating your alarm clock and making the most out of every single morning! 

Put your alarm on the other side of the room 

This makes such a big difference to actually getting up! Want to beat your snooze button? Put it on the other side of the room so you can’t hit it! Sometimes we just subconsciously hit it, or our alarm goes into our dream… but, if you don’t have easy access to the alarm then it makes it a lot easier to not just ‘switch it off and go back to sleep’ - this is a game changer!

Have a morning routine you love 

Who wants to get up to do a morning routine that feels like a chore? Not us! But, getting up for a morning routine you love & are excited about… that will make the getting up part a whole lot easier! Maybe getting up at 5am means emails and coffee in bed before you do a workout so you can ease into the day, maybe it means journaling and a meditation before you launch into your to-do list, or maybe it means meeting a friend for your favourite type of exercise to kickstart the day right! If you have a morning routine you love, it makes it exciting to wake up!

Go to bed early enough, you need enough sleep!

Sleep is vital, we know that, it’s nothing new! So if you want to get up earlier, going to bed earlier is important! We like to aim for 7-8 hours of sleep a night, so make sure if you are aiming to get up at 5, you’re in bed by 9! 

Have a nighttime routine that helps you unwind 

Getting up in the morning starts with your routine the night before!  If you want to get a good night's sleep and wake up refreshed, then a nighttime routine is a good place to start! Lay your workout outfit out the night before!
