Hello MAD crew!
Welcome back to our weekly love note, we hope you’ve had an amazing week!
Today I wanted to chat about moving your body & the benefits of it.
Obviously, here at MAD, we are so passionate about health, wellness & exercise.
And we like to take a holistic approach when it comes to working out, gone are the days where you punish your body just to achieve a certain body type. You are so much more than that!
In saying that, moving your body reaps SO many benefits & physical health is just the start of it! So we wanted to unpack our reasons for moving our body!
I think the first, and biggest one is, MENTAL HEALTH! Those endorphins. Is there any better feeling than finishing a sweaty gym session, or a run or a boxing session or even just a walk and you can feel the endorphins wash over you!? Did you know exercise is proven to help reduce stress and anxiety!? This one is huge and for anyone who knows that feeling of a post gym session, you’ll know how key exercise is for your mental health!
This one goes without saying, but exercise can have SO many amazing benefits when it comes to your physical health. Not only does it keep you fit & strong, it can reduce your risk of a heart attack, mean you have a lower blood cholesterol level, can lower the risk of type 2 diabetes and some cancers, can lower your blood pressure, means you’ll have stronger bones, muscles and joints and lower your risk of developing osteoporosis.
This one is big for me. Let me set the scene, you get up at 6am to your alarm, you put on your gym gear, head off to the gym, smash out of a hard workout (maybe one you didn’t think you could get through) and you head home. You have a shower, have a healthy breakfast and get stuck into the day! You’ve set yourself up to have a productive day full of focus, momentum and efficiency. Not only does exercise help clear brain fog, but it also allows you to accomplish something in the morning which means you are set up for the rest of the day. Win the morning, WIN THE DAY!
Helps with sleep
Did you know your quality of sleep directly correlates back to what you’ve done for the day? When you release endorphins and energy throughout the day, you are more likely to have a better quality sleep. You allow your brain to be clear and your body to be tired, which means you catch Z’s a whole lot easier!
There are so many benefits to exercise, and here at MAD we want to provide more than just a product, we want to provide an education and knowledge, so you can make decisions in the best interest of you!
Try mixing up your gym routine, we always find that keeping it interesting and different helps stimulate your interest. PLUS You can always refer back to this blog and remember your WHY!
